BNXN, formerly known as Buju, recently unearthed his spectacular single “Fi Kan We Kan,” featuring the award-winning artist Mavin Records Music Star, popularly known as Rema.

However, the song is the duo’s second collaboration following their 2022 hit “Make Sense,” which gained strong streaming performances in various charts.

BNXN has contemporarily astonished his fans with his newly released song “Fi Kan We Kan,” featuring Rema, making it to the #1 song on the Apple Music Nigeria Chart, the second #1 song on the chart of the year for BNXN, and third for Rema after recently dropping “Phenomena,” which is currently the No. 12 song on the Billboard Hot 100.

The song combines Afrobeats with modern R&B and hip-hop elements, earning positive reviews from music critics who praised the duo’s chemistry and harmonious vocals as the leading voices in Nigeria’s Afrobeats genre, demonstrating their remarkable growth and evolution.

    Lyrics and Meaning

“Fi Kan We Kan,” a Yoruba phrase meaning “Compare one to another,” features Rema and BNXN trading verses with reflective and empowering lyrics like:

“Moti debi alejo, Moti debi Olorun” meaning “I’ve been through trials, I’ve been through struggles” – Rema verse

“Moti ri Iran, Moti ri Orisun” meaning “I’ve seen darkness and I’ve seen light” – BNXN verse

“Fi kan We Kan, Fi kan We kan” meaning “Compare one to the other, compare one to the other” – Rema verse

“Orimi ti yan, Orimi to wa” meaning “My head is lifted, My head is proud” – BNXN verse

These lyrics convey emotional struggle and resilience eventually leading to a successful journey inspiring listeners to learn from experience and move forward.

Furthermore, the heartwarming song composition is unquestionably one you should add to your music library if you are a lover of good music.
